Welcome to the Berkeley Striper Club Web Site.
Established in 1966, the Berkeley Striper Club is one of the largest and
most active surf-fishing clubs in New Jersey. We have 180 members, some of
whom are among the best fishermen in New Jersey. Our members have one
common thread - the fanatic pursuit of Striped Bass. Whether you fish from
the beach, jetty, or a boat, the Berkeley Striper Club is for you.
The Berkeley Striper Club's objective is to promote and protect recreational fishing interests, while safeguarding our natural resources. The Berkeley Striper Club accomplishes this by being active members in the following organizations: Jersey Coast Angler's Association, Association of Surf-Fishing Clubs, and Friends of Island Beach. In addition, many of our members belong to the N.J. Beach Buggy Association, which promotes mobile beach access for fishermen.
The Berkeley Striper takes pride in giving back
to our community. Each spring the club sponsors a Fisherman's Flea Market in which a
portion of the proceeds go to several area charities.
